King Kātō  ·  AJ Puedan

Some things don't move with more effort. They move when you see them clearly.

I teach The Life Map, guide private hypnosis sessions using the Authentic Intelligent Method, and sit with people as a professional confidant when they need someone they can trust.

My work

Three ways I work with people

Different doors, same intention: helping you see your life clearly and act from who you really are.

01

The Life Map

A whole-life system for human potential. It helps you see where you are across every area of life, understand the season you're in, and choose the one next step that matters most right now. I'm an authorized educator of The Life Map, created by Casey James Combden, and I teach it live in a three-day immersion.

02

AIM Hypnosis

The Authentic Intelligent Method is the way I do hypnosis. It's calm and direct. We find where the charge is being held, let it settle, and reconnect you with who you were before you learned to protect yourself. Private, one-on-one sessions, available on Zoom. You stay aware and in control the whole time.

03

Professional Confidant

For founders, creators, and high-profile people who carry a lot and have very few places to put it down. I'm someone you can talk to honestly, privately, and without an agenda, especially in the moments when you feel like you have no one to turn to. Everything starts with a quiet, confidential conversation.

About me

Who is King Kātō?

My name is AJ Puedan. Many people know me as King Kātō. I'm a speaker, teacher, and hypnotist, and most of my life has been about helping people find the strength that's already in them.

I was born in San Diego into a family with deep roots in the Philippines. My father, Artemio Panaligan Puedan, was an athlete and a visionary who founded Allah Valley Academy in Surallah, Mindanao. Carrying that school forward is part of who I am. Today it serves around 800 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

In my twenties I worked as a cruise ship magician, which taught me a lot about attention, presence, and people. I've trained in Filipino martial arts and I'm a certified firearms instructor. Discipline and focus aren't ideas to me. They're how I live.

These days I bring all of it into three things: teaching The Life Map, guiding people through hypnosis with AIM, and being a confidant for people who need one.

“Growth is painful. Change is painful. And nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.”

My core values

What I stand for, and what you can expect from me

These values guide how I make decisions, build relationships, lead, parent, and create. They are not aspirational. They are operating principles.

1Integrity / AuthenticityLiving in truth with myself and others.

What this means to me

I prioritize honesty over comfort and alignment over approval. I do not perform, manipulate, or pretend to be someone I'm not in order to belong, avoid conflict, or achieve an outcome. I value directness, clarity, and congruence between words, actions, and intent.

What you can expect from me

You will get honesty, even when it's uncomfortable. I will speak directly, own my mistakes, and address issues rather than avoid them. I will not say yes when I mean no, and I will not stay in situations that require self-betrayal.

2Sovereignty / AgencyFreedom to choose and act from inner authority.

What this means to me

I value personal responsibility and the ability to respond in real time rather than being constrained by fear, control, or excessive consensus. I respect others' autonomy and expect the same respect in return.

What you can expect from me

I will take initiative and make decisions when needed. I do not wait for permission to act in alignment. I will respect your choices and boundaries, and I expect mine to be respected as well. I work best in environments built on trust rather than control.

3Self-Expression / Creative TruthExpressing what is real through my voice, work, and presence.

What this means to me

I value originality that emerges from truth, not performance or comparison. I allow my natural way of seeing, speaking, and creating to come through without dilution. I do my best work when I am free to express what is authentic.

What you can expect from me

You will experience clarity, creativity, and original thinking. I may challenge assumptions or offer unconventional perspectives. I will not water down my voice to fit a mold, and I invite others to show up fully as themselves as well.

4Relational Presence / Chosen CommunityDepth, loyalty, and connection rooted in mutual respect.

What this means to me

I value meaningful relationships built on trust, openness, and emotional presence. Loyalty matters to me, but only when it is freely chosen and grounded in integrity. I do not stay in relationships or communities that require suppression of truth.

What you can expect from me

I show up with presence, care, and commitment. I am supportive, attentive, and invested when trust is mutual. I will protect the relationship by addressing issues directly. If trust erodes or values no longer align, I will be honest rather than disengage silently.

5Growth / EvolutionContinual learning in service of meaning and contribution.

What this means to me

I am committed to growing in awareness, capability, and emotional maturity. Growth is not about status or constant improvement. It's about becoming more aligned, more present, and more effective in how I live and contribute.

What you can expect from me

I am open to feedback, reflection, and learning. I will evolve and refine how I show up over time. I take responsibility for my growth and do not expect others to manage it for me.

How these values show up in practice

  • Clear communication and direct conversations
  • Respect for autonomy and boundaries
  • Thoughtful leadership and initiative
  • Depth over superficiality
  • Growth-oriented dialogue without pressure to perform

“These values are what I orient toward, not what I pretend to have mastered.”

My code

These are the rules I choose to live by.

  1. I live in integrity and speak truthfully with myself and others.
  2. I am proud of my name, my story, and who I am becoming.
  3. I bring unique value by being authentic, present, and engaged with my community.
  4. I act from sovereignty, choosing consciously rather than reacting to fear, pressure, or control.
  5. I lead when called, follow when appropriate, and remain flexible in how I serve.
  6. I take responsibility for my actions and repair when I fall out of alignment.
  7. I act with courage. Not the absence of fear, but the willingness to move honestly through it.
  8. I commit fully to what I choose and do not overcommit to what I cannot sustain.
  9. I respect others' autonomy and do not impose my will or abandon my own.
  10. I invest my time, energy, and resources wisely, in people, experiences, and what truly matters.
  11. I help when I can and protect when needed, standing for dignity, fairness, and care.
  12. I accept and appreciate others for who they are, without needing to change them.
  13. I remain a student of life, learning, growing, and refining with humility.
  14. I remember that others may count on me, and I do not sacrifice myself to prove my worth.
  15. I choose presence over performance and integrity over endurance.

Let's talk

The best first step is a conversation.

Book a call and tell me what's going on. We'll figure out together whether The Life Map, a hypnosis session, or a private confidant relationship is the right fit.
